For a time, my Arturia plugins worked perfectly on Linux under yabridge. However, I updated Ubuntu and the required WINE version is no longer in the repository… I miss using Pigments, it’s such a wonderful synth. I’d love to see official Linux support from Arturia so I can use it again.

I am tesing Fedora 44, have you any reco to install Wine/Yabridge on it to manage my Arturia V and X collections ?
When I look at yabridge project, it looks more as a dead project where the author has no more time to adapt to recent changes in UI regarding end of old X11 and recent wime improvments ???
Hi ! I am using the version called “yabridge-wine10-git” from AUR : AUR (en) - yabridge-wine10-git
which works perfectly for me (Manjaro / Arch linux based)
I also saw there were recent commits on the official build, so, hopefully, the next stable version will be compatible. Meanwhile, you have to use a git version.
PS : sorry for asking again, but I got a new Keylab MK3 and I’d like to update it to 1.5. I have a VirtualBox installed on my Linux PC. Is there a risk to brick the keylab or did the firmware update work for some of you ?

Yes, Arturia hardware, controllers and synths (the Brutes, Astrolabs) are working in linux.

I didn’t tried it, but there is no reasons for it to fail.
If it fail (badly), your KL won’t boot, but can be recovered from the bootloader.

Are you sure about that ?
“Work” and “working” means different things for me. The controller may work but the software to control the controller may not be working as intended,. like in MCC

I had the opportunity to borrow a Windows PC so I made the firmware update with that. That’s a bit sad, as I can’t tell others if that would have worked !
Now the only remaining gripe I have with the Keylab is, when I use Bitwig, the integration works perfectly but the “Arturia” mode doesn’t show the instruments pictures / controls. (the Arturia mode works out of the DAW).
Apart from that, all VSTs work pretty well with almost indiscernible audio lag (“pro” mode in Pipewire, 256 buffers, 48 KHz). If I lower this value, I cannot feel the difference in terms of latency but get some cracks & pops in the most demanding instruments, like Pure LoFi and the Augmented series. This is a 10 year-old computer. – note that, in “regular” mode, not in “pro” mode, I definitely felt the lag with 256 buffers. “Pro mode” really makes things better.
The only remaining issue I have with the Arturia VSTs through WINE/Yabridge/WINEASIO is that “multicore” mode only make things worse - while it could have helps. Maybe in future WINE versions ? – that’s not a big deal as, when running multiple instruments, multiple cores are used anyway.
Still looking forward to official Linux support. Please do it, Arturia ! Meanwhile, I don’t feel crippled with the current situation.

It would be nice if AL and MCC worked under linux.
But, Iggy, do you bring the controller of the controller on a gig?
I use AL37 in the country without AL, MCC or Internet.

Anyway, Yes it would be nice if controllers / software would be Linux compliant / compatible.
I don’t think its an unreasonable request as you, and most people would probably agree.
Someone will eventually… I tried Korgs version of MCC . Worked well as far as i could tell.

You’re right, Iggy: Astrolab is not a synth. It’s a collection of synth emulations. So is Analog Lab. Astrolab is a satellite of Analog Lab. To me the important part is that it produces sound in linux.
Moddart (Pianoteq) has had a full working linux version of their applications for years so it’s quite feasible. Linux supports VSTs. But I can’t tell what this would entail for Arturia in terms of work. My advice is make music with what you have and hope for the best. In linux I miss the tools I have in Windows to mix and master tracks (something I don’t master anyway).
I keep Windows because of companies that make applications that only support Windows natively (Native, Addictive Drums, Ample Sound, etc.). I’m on Ubuntu 26.04 and it’s far more reactive (and secure) than Windows 11 on my old i7-7700.

You just made my point, Astrolab is a fancy MIDI controller with built in drive/chips running a OS running the midi control center inside .And i don’t think its running windows. 
But i also handles changing its parameters and updates. ( I think i got that right ? )
Yes i understand the basic concept of Linux software and making sounds with vst’s…
Also having fun learning more way to avoid the OS trap.
